Lion Mike Gutyan and I hope that everyone who joined us at the 18th Annual Midwest Pin Swap in Moline had as great a time as we did.

We would like to THANK everyone who attended and helped get everything organized - from the tables to the donations everything was LION Perfect. With everyone's help and with traders ready to trade, we were able to start the Swap early Wednesday. By the time everyone registered, we had 74 pin traders and 25 guests, some attending their first Midwest Swap.

Moline is such a great place to host a swap. It is so conveniently located we were able to host pin traders from 14 States, including Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Colorado, Idaho, California, Florida, Tennessee, Missouri, New York, Virginia and Texas. That is only counting Angelo once!

We know everyone enjoyed the Strawberry Shortcake and all the great food served at the Hospitality Room - thanks to Helen Gutyan and Lion Evelyn Jones. They did a great job. We all appreciated the cold, salty margaritas that our Mixologist, Lion Rich Koch, blended every evening. He added several hundred "miles" to his margarita mixer that weekend!

A huge thanks to the Iowa Pin Traders for organizing and putting on the Friday night pin auction. There were several nice pins and sets that were sold.

If you have never attended a Midwest Pin Swap, I strongly urge you to do so. The hotel accommodations are great, their pin trading area is one of the largest we have found and their hospitality area is second to none. There is also an area great for dining, conversation and a game or two.
